July Update

Published on 7 July 2025 at 23:17

Hello again!

I am still alive, but between all the Dokomi prep, admin work and general life stuff I haven't had the time to let you guys know what's been happening lately. Thus I think it is time to make another little update post! I changed the layout a bit this time, so let me know if you like it.

Dokomi as my last con of 2025

As you may have read in my last post, I’ve made the tough decision to take a break from selling at events. I love having my little booth and talking to customers in person, but the prep and travel that goes into these weekends has taken a toll on my mental health. Dokomi 2025 was my last event of this year (at least for now) and I'm so glad we got to end it with my favorite con.

This was my second time having a table at the event and it was so nice to see so many familiar faces return to my booth. Everyone was so sweet, I received so many compliments on my little creations and my heart was so full at the end of each day. A lot of people loved the bunny hoods, patches and upcycled clothing, and I’m inspired to start creating again. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and buy my stuff, Moris wouldn’t be what it is today if it wasn’t for your support

Losing a pet

On the 13th of June, a week after Dokomi, I received some bad news from my mom. Our family dog, Ozzy, had crossed the rainbow bridge. He had been struggling with his health since his 10th birthday back in May and I knew this moment would come sooner rather than later. I miss him a lot, my studio is back at my parents house and I'm glad I still got to see him this much, even after moving out. So I wanted to honor him by talking about him in my little update.

He was a black labrador, born on the 5th of May in 2015. He loved letter cookies, but to be honest he would eat anything. He wasn't the smartest or most athletic dog, but he had a gentle heart. He would greet you with a headbutt and if he liked you, he'd sit or lay down next to you. His bottom teeth were a bit crooked and his uvula was too big, so he made these funny growling noise. He passed away in the garden, peacefully, surrounded by his family. We'll miss you.

Reopening the shop!

Yes, you read that right, I will be reopening the shop this Saturday at 10h CET and to celebrate all stickers and buttons will be 50% off! I'll also add some upcycled clothing and keychains that were left from Dokomi. I haven't made anything new yet since I'm still on my little summer break, but you can expect another shop update at the end of Summer.

Some great news for my Dutch and German friends! Shipping now starts as low as €3 for small items like stickers and buttons, a great excuse to go check out that opening sale.
